Introduction to the game
This little game is indeed what it says on the tin, a short rather mysterious horror game. Please answer carefully is a horror game disguised as a survey, in which the player is asked several questions about consumption and usage of the internet. The game sets an eerie vibe through ASMR like audio, breathing, knocking, and whatnot. Playing is made easy and convenient, the player presses on radio buttons and confirms this by continuing. What is extremely useful is the number of translations of the game, since not every English phrase nor word gives the same vibe to non-native readers.
My opinion
I enjoyed the game a lot since it immediately sucks you into the rather obscure world it creates. No gigantic background stories, no difficult mechanics, simply an easy-to-follow and easy-to-play horror game. The sounds made me feel on edge and forced me to feel like something could happen at any moment. I played several play-throughs, but it seems like the content stays the same, so there is no ‘deeper layer’ or different outcome to the game, which doesn’t matter, but I hoped there was since I love exploring. As advertised the gameplay is somewhat around five minutes, allowing one to quickly play the game without having to plan an evening for it. Altogether it was an enjoyable game, with a (still) puzzling background story, or reason as to why we are filling in a cursed survey. To fully experience it, use headphones and play this game while being alone, trust me, it’s worth it!
