Summary: The domovoi is a magnificent story, which sucks you in, lets you create the story, and leaves you lonely afterward. The usage of local terms and things do confuse me from time to time.
The game could use some polishing, both text-wise and maybe styling/mechanics-wise or I would love to see a “remastered/remake” of this fun time killer. It’s definitely worth a few plays, it’s minimalistic, so don’t expect it to be enormous or perfect.
A short story set in the early 18-hundreds, showing the depiction of poverty and what one is willing to go through to escape this fate. Featuring breathtaking audio at the right moments and illustration to aid the visual horrors of this awesome one-time playable game.
A horror game disguised as a study tool, with layers built-in to assure the player practices words that get increasingly more sinister, but also learns you what paranoia feels like. If you feel like playing a short game with amazing ambient audio, and experience what it is to be home alone while someone is watching you through your window, this is your chance.
An unsettling universe in which the player faces something which I didn’t know could be horrific, a babyface. Making this game unique and something that should be recognized by more lovers of interactive horror fiction.
Altogether it was an enjoyable game, with a (still) puzzling background story, or reason as to why we are filling in a cursed survey.
